Royal Icing made with egg whites: 1/2 cup refrigerated pasteurized egg whites 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 pkg. (16 oz.) confectioner’s sugar (about 4 cups) PreparationBeat the egg whites and cream of tartar in large bowl with an electric mixer on high speed until foamy. Add the icing sugar gradually, beating on low speed until well blended after each addition. Beat on high speed 5 minutes or until stiff peaks form.
